This week appointed our 2025 College Captains and caught up with our incoming leaders to find out why they applied for the role, and what they’re passionate about.
Here’s what they had to say …
Biyala College Captains
Millie Lundberg
I want to be there for the students at GSSC. I’m hoping that all students feel like they can come to me with any issues. I love this school and I hope to make it a place where others feel the same.
Samantha Inong
I’m a proud Filipino and I’ve seen an increased number of people arriving to Shepparton from different cultural backgrounds. I hope to represent these communities and show that you can set out to achieve what you want to, no matter your background.
Dharnya College Captains
Billy Kop
I think I have good ideas to help improve the school, I’d like to see an advanced English class introduced. I took on leadership roles at primary school but College Captain at high school is something I always wanted to do.
Chloe Hogg
I’ve always wanted the chance to represent the College in this way, to share my ideas and be a voice for others. I’m excited for this opportunity and to share what I have to offer.
Bayuna College Captains
Ananiya Dieudonne
I want to be a leader for everyone and the face of our school values. I’d like to be an advocate for mental health, to raise awareness and promote the help available to students.
Tylah O’Brien
I decided to apply for College Captain to be a positive influence and role model for younger students. I hope students feel comfortable approaching me with their ideas and that I can help to turn their feedback into action. I’d like to focus on inclusivity and ensuring everyone feels like they belong.
