This term we hosted our annual Art and Tech Showcase, displaying the diverse talent among our GSSC students.

This included work from junior students through to senior classes, including art, media, photography, sculpture, ceramics, glass, jewellery, woodwork, design tech, robotics and textiles.

Audiences were also treated to a delicious spread from the VET Foods classes, including bruschetta, sushi, arancini and slices. Music students Lucy and Steph Ludlow, Wren Morris and Skylar Vincitorio entertained the crowd with vocals and guitar.

This year we welcomed local Shepparton Festival artist Shiro to open the night and select this year's Art and Tech Excellence and Encouragement awards. She spoke to the crowd about her inspiration for creating art using found objects and the therapeutic effect that art has in her life.

Congratulations to all students who displayed their work this year and to our award winners. Art and Tech excellence award winners received a $50 cash prize, and encouragement award winners received $12 in canteen vouchers.

We are thrilled to share that the recent Allied Health Futures Forum, organised by Goulburn Murray Local Learning & Employment Network (GMLLEN) and hosted at the GV Hotel, was a resounding success! The event saw an impressive turnout of over 200 students, parents, and school representatives, all eager to explore the exciting career pathways in Allied Health.

A special shoutout to GSSC Partnerships Manager Lisa Kerr, as well as the many GSSC students and their families who participated in the evening.

A highlight of the forum was the panel discussion featuring Gemma Moulsdale, a former GSSC student. Gemma's inspiring journey in the Allied Health field since completing her schooling provided valuable insights and motivation for the audience.

We extend our thanks to the GMLLEN team for their collaboration and for offering such a valuable opportunity for our GSSC community. It was a fantastic experience, and we're excited about the many career possibilities that were shared and explored!
