Families of Year 6 students are encouraged to join us for a talk and tour of GSSC on Wednesday 10 May
Tours will be hosted by our College Leaders from 5.30pm and an information session will follow from 6-7pm

Families can also come and see the wonderful teaching and learning that takes place at GSSC by booking a tour on one of the following dates from 9.30am - 10.15am

Greater Shepparton Secondary College is calling for volunteers to be members of the sub committees for 2023.
Subcommittees are advisory bodies to the school council:

  • they assist council with performing their duties and functions, and
  • are generally established to support school council in specific areas
  • Subcommittee membership is open to non-school-council members providing the opportunity for the school community to be involved in school council matters
  • Subcommittees cannot make decisions on behalf of the school council.
  • Each subcommittee has a nominated convener who is usually a school council member.

Subcommittees usually meet between regular school council meetings. This allows time for:

  • consideration of their particular area of responsibility, and
  • decisions on any necessary action or follow up

Subcommittees regularly report at school council meetings;

  • providing advice
  • making recommendations to the council

Members of subcommittees will:

  • maintain confidentiality over matters discussed at the meetings, and
  • recommendations put forward to the school council

GSSC will have two sub committees in 2023. They are;

  • Finance Sub Committee
  • Facilities Sub Committee
