Dear parents and carers and students,

As you know from my earlier message, a confirmed case of COVID-19 has been reported in our community.

As a result, all Greater Shepparton Secondary College campuses are now closed to all students, staff and community members until further notice. This means no on-site supervision will be available.

While the Department of Health (DH) conducts its investigation, staff and students and their household members must quarantine at home until further notice.

If you are identified as a primary close contact or secondary close contact, DH will get in touch with you directly. These calls or text messages can come from private or unknown numbers. Please answer these calls or follow text message advice if you receive a call or text message. If you require further information you can contact DH on 1300 651 160. If you are concerned you may have COVID-19 you can call the DH 24-hour COVID-19 hotline on 1800 675 398.

If you or anyone in your family develop even the mildest of symptoms, please get tested. If you need to get tested, please check coronavirus.vic.gov.au for up-to-date information about waiting times at testing sites across the state.

As all staff are isolating our offices are currently not open so should you require any assistance further information please check Compass or our website for further updates.

Attention Parents, Carers, and Guardians of our Wanganui, Mooroopna, Invergordon and McGuire Campuses:

Goulburn Valley Heath has confirmed that a positive case of COVID 19 has been detected in Shepparton.

Students from our ALL campuses have been identified as close contacts (Tier 1). We therefore require parents to collect their students as soon as practicable from all campuses.

Please note you must collect your children from school. Buses will NOT be used, as a preventative health measure.

Students are advised to take their books and devices home with them in the expectation of possible lockdown measures being put in place.

This is a STOP and STAY order which includes ALL household members. You must then stay at home until further notice from the Department of Health. This includes not going to get tested at this time. Please stay home until further notification.
